The year has come and gone. Hopefully, for many of us the transition from 19 to 20 has left us healthier and with more abundance in all forms. New years are always tough for many because they not only bring along memories of those that did not crossover with us into the new year but also introduce new beginnings which aren't always pleasant or easy. One thing I can say is that if you are reading this then chances are the "Spiritual bug" has bitten you and your interest in all things Occult are interesting you more and more. Understand that it is OK to feel this way. There are so many paths to follow but one thing we must let you know is that we are passionate about many things here but anything negative is out of the question. We understand that with light you must have the darkness with Ying there is Yang but our site is about promoting positivity, love, kindness, compassion and joy.
For those that have a sudden interest in the spiritual world I would like to explain the "Age of Aquarius" (Not the song)
What are these ages?
Astronomers will tell you that the Earth rotates on an axis and that this line going through the center of the earth has a slight wobble to it. It goes through a little circular wobble about every 2,160 years. This cycle has been divided between 12 "ages" associated with the astrological signs, based on which constellation the axis is wobbling towards. During the Age of Aries, which was from 2000 B.C. to 0 A.D. Aries was ruled by Mars, God of war, so it makes sense that this was a time of powerful military battles. The Trojans, Spartans, Romans, Greeks, Persians......Can you feel the testosterone?
We then entered the Age of Pisces, which is about from 0 to 1900 AD The age of Pisces was the age of Christianity. Which interestingly it seemed to begin at the birth of Christ and keep in mind that the symbol of Christianity is the fish and so is Pisces. With this new age of Pisces came new beliefs. Now came the age of Compassion, forgiveness, kindness and sacrifice for others that slowly pushed away the lust for war and rage. Understand this wasn't instant for everyone in fact we are in the age of Aquarius and War still rages on but during the Age of Pisces the powerful seeds of peace were planted.
Now we are in what I feel is a great age to be alive. The Age of Aquarius, an age which you are ready to accept that you have the confidence, self-love, knowledge and wisdom within yourself. It is no longer necessary to search for guidance outside of yourself.
If you look back over the past 50 years there has been a slow but steady growing interest in self awareness, self improvement, yoga, meditation, feng shui, tai chi, reiki, pranic and other energetic forms of healing, and a growth in natural foods.
As I mentioned earlier with light you have darkness, good and evil. With all the interest in bettering ourselves there has been an increase in suicide, anxiety, stress, and depression.
As for our care of this planet and each other we have witnessed great changes during this lifetime in civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, global consciousness and environmental consciousness. Yet on the flip side a rise of fundamentalism, terrorism, partisan politics, racism, and fear mongering seems to flood our news feeds and social media.
As you can see this shift has split most of society and brought out the best and the worst in man. I personally understand why more and more people are entering this shift from shedding the God fearing lessons we learned as children to searching for the love of a peaceful God which is inside of us. We now wish to open our hearts completely to a life of self-love and unconditional love for friend and enemy alike. Sadly, there are those who only trust and want to break bread with those that are like-minded and fear the things they can't and won't understand deeming it evil or wrong. This is a time of very radical change, the energy is in the air we breath and the earth continues to transform. You have a choice now which in itself is amazing. Cleanse yourself, learn from your mistakes and raise your vibration and follow the path of positive growth and spiritual expansion or lower your vibration and fall into a path of jealousy, envy, hatred and misery.
It is up to you to choose your poison or cleanse your body from the outside of your skin deep into your cells and soul. Skull & Moon is about helping ourselves and others to feel, find and lust for a positive life filled with love.
